About College : The name Jeppiaar has grown synonymous with excellence in education and
the Jeppiaar Educational Trust was formed in 1987, with the sole purpose of
providing cutting edge technical education, that is both accessible and
affordable by establishing colleges of Engineering and Management studies.
Under the aegis of our honorable Chairman (Late) Col. Dr. JEPPIAAR,
M.A.,B.L.,Ph.D., Jeppiaar
Engineering College was inaugurated on 15th August 2001 as one of the
spearheading institutions of Jeppiaar Educational Trust. The Managing Director
of the college Dr.M.Regeena Jeppiaar, B.Tech.,
M.B.A., Ph.D., has
led the college from its fledgling state to an institution to reckon with. Our
Institution offers 9 UG disciplines in Engineering and Technology along with 7
PG courses in Engineering and Management. Jeppiaar Engineering College is a
dedicated institution to educate and empower the students through intensive
exploration of core courses in Science, Engineering, Management and Technology.
About Event: The third International
Conference on Science Technology Engineering & Management (JEPPIAAR – ICON
STEM’17) is organised by the Engineering Science and Management Departments of
Jeppiaar Engineering College on 23rd & 24th March, 2017. At present
Government of India has declared to design and create 100 smart cities
therefore the purpose of this conference is to present and exchange advanced
knowledge and practices in an endeavour to create smart cities. Nanotechnology,
Green environment, Integrated Urban Development and Waste Management are the
areas of concern towards better life. The conference will create a platform for
the researchers, policy makers and consultants to deliberate various issues
pertaining to the creation of sustainable smart cities.The program provides an
opportunity to the participants to understand the concepts involved in the
indicators of smart cities as well as the characterization and modelling for
the future sustainable environment.
