Anna University: India's Second Technology and Innovation support Centre

The Department Industrial Policy and promotion had made an Institutional Agreement with Anna University.  It is the ministry of Commerce and Industry, India. Anna University, At Centre for Intellectual Property Rights(CIPR), India's Second Technology and Innovation Centre are established, under the World Intellectual Property Organizations(WIPO) TISC Program.

There is more Innovative Person in the WIPO's Technology and Innovation Support Centre. And our Technology and Innovation team are encouraged and helped to exploit their innovative ideas.  And they will create, protect, and manage their intellectual property rights(IPRs).

TISC of India is to encourage the creativity and innovation to establish a network of TISCs in India.  TISCs operate worldwide over 500 and established it in India.  TISC had given a best practice, best training, sharing of knowledge.  TISCs, Capacity building, Generation, and Commercialization of Intellectual Properties.

CIPR had an experience, more than 185 Patents, 29 Trademarks, 39 Copyrights,25Industrial Design and assisted in 12 International Patent Applications.  IPR Awareness Programs was organized by CIPR and they made six certificate courses on IPR Related subjects.

Anna University is 6th rank among Universities, 8th rank among Engineering Colleges and 13th rank in the overall category in India, by the National Institutional Ranking Framework(NIRF), Ministry of Human Resource Development.
